Jarnie Godwin paints realistic, detailed, and vibrant botanical watercolours. She has also been a teacher, a graphic designer, and received formal training in Architecture. 

The work Jarnie focuses on now as a botanical artist combines structure and detail, with precision and realism at its heart. Her passion for botanical painting lies in vivid colour, detail, and capturing beautiful, but not always perfect flowers and plants.

As a qualified and respected teacher and educator since 2001, Jarnie loves introducing others to the colourful world of botanical painting. Through Jarnie’s Art Room, her online tutorial school, she helps students gain confidence, and develop their skills to create the paintings they want, inspiring them to love what they do.

Notable awards for Jarnie’s work include 2021 Echinacea – Life Through Colour at the RHS & Saatchi Gallery, Chelsea, London for which she was awarded a silver-gilt Medal.
