Height 6 1/2 inches (16.51 cm)
Width 8 1/2 inches (21.59 cm)

A set of three Chinese Export Style porcelain leaf dishes, decorated with red, blue, green and gold glazes upon a white ground, each depicting the Great Seal of the United States: a bald eagle proper displayed bearing in its dexter talon an olive branch vert, in its sinister talon, arrows.

These three dishes were made in the 20th century as revivalist American market Chinese Export porcelain. They are finely hand painted in the late 18th century manner and celebrate American independence through the symbolism of the bald eagle.
