A late nineteenth century Aesthetic Movement brass doorstop, the shaved handle surmounting a cylindrical shaft, the base of faceted baluster form with rectangular plinth. Retaining the original iron weight.

This was most probably after a design by William Tonks, maker of brass ‘door porters’.
