An eighteenth century George III Chippendale Period mahogany serpentine breakfront secretaire bookcase, the broken swan neck pediment and dentil cornice over four astragal glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the lower section having a fitted secretarie drawer above a pair of cupboard doors flanked by four shaped graduated drawers. The bookcase retains all its original gilt brass handles.
