Our collection of pictures includes Classical landscapes, 18th-century portraiture, seascapes and marine art together with watercolours and goaches.
We have a broad selection of fine art, including oils, watercolours, pastels and prints, which can be viewed at the gallery and on our website. Within our traditional stock we focus on sporting art, landscapes, topographical works, portraits, still lifes and Old Master paintings. recent acquisitions have included works by Cornelius Johnson, Joseph Highmore, John Downman, George Henry Harlow, Jeremiah Davison, Theodore Roussel, Francis Wheatley, John Hoppner and Nathaniel Dance. We also have a selection of works by unknown artists, chosen for their subject matter and their historic as well as decorative merit. In all cases, this category has been created to appeal to both the collectors’ and decorators’ markets.
