A Late 18th Century Louis XVI Period Mahogany Bedside Cabinet

£2,950

SOLD

A Louis XVI Period mahogany bedside cabinet or night stand, the marble top with pierced brass gallery above panelled sides and three front drawers articulated by fluted pilasters and set upon turned tapering legs with brass sabots.

This charming example of late eighteenth century cabinet making would have been commissioned for a bedroom. These remain popular today as nightstands; however, they also work especially well as occasional lamp tables in drawing rooms. The three drawers are oak lined and the mahogany is of the finest grade.
