Early 19th Century Chinese Export Trunk of Small Scale

An early nineteenth century camphor wood trunk, the outer surfaces of black leather with brass mounts and nailing. The ends with carrying handles.

Trunks such as these were made by the Chinese for the British market and as such resemble English designs of the time.
