A Late 18th Century Directoire Period Elm Open Armchair

A most unusual late 18th century Directoire Period elm wood fauteuil, having a pierced back with turned bobbin work, carved star and guilloche motifs, swept arms, the drop in seat above an apron of turned bobbins, all raised on square tapering legs with an H-form stretcher.
