A pair of nineteenth century Brighton Pavilion bamboo armchairs, modelled in the Chinese taste, with intricately decorated panels and canework seats.

This pair of chairs, although made at the end of the nineteenth century, closely resemble the suite of bamboo furniture made for the Prince Regent at Brighton Pavilion. The form can be traced back to the horseshoe chair made for centuries in China.
