A late nineteenth century circular occasional table, the specimen wood inlaid top set upon turned legs with cross-strtchers.

Attributed to William Norries (1832-1909) was a British cabinetmaker who emigrated to New Zealand in 1852. He established his business in Auckland in 1857 and became one of the most respected furniture makers in the country. He is best known for the use of indigenous New Zealand timbers in his work.
