A Late 19th Century Qing Dynasty Sang de Boeuf Vase

A Qing Dynasty Sang de Boeuf vase the neck of trumpet form, glazed with a white rim and crackled surface.

This sang de boeuf vase has a particularly rich oxblood colour with graduated tones culminating in a white rim. Its surface is covered in a net of very fine crackles, adding to the surface texture of the vase. Red is believed to energise, clear and protect and according to Feng Shui principles, it is the ideal colour for an entrance of a home.
