£1,450

SOLD

A fine pair of 19th century Imari porcelain bottle vases, the surfaces with floral decoration in red, blue and gold glazes upon a white ground.

Meiji Period (1867-1912)

The patterns of decoration upon this pair of vases relate closely to kimono designs of the late 19th century. Floral cartouches were an especially popular motif in Japanese textiles.
