A Pair of 19th Century Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Porcelain Beaker Vases

£1,550

SOLD

A pair of late 19th century famille rose porcelain beaker vases, profusely decorated with foliage and stylised flower heads.

Other than with very early examples of famille rose, this pair of late 19th century beaker vases is more complex in design and colour. While early examples are famous for their translucent white background, light colours and delicate brushstroke, later works exhibit a wider range of colour which could be fired at lower temperatures.

Qing Dynasty, Gungxu Period (1875 – 1908)
