An early 18th century blue and white glazed porcelain vase of baluster form, decorated with stylised prunus blossoms upon cracked ice with symbols of longevity.

The prunus on cracked ice decoration, also referred to as “Hawthorn pattern”, was one of the most popular blue and white decorative motifs in 17th century China.
