A large brass table ornament in the form of a Classical obelisk.
An obelisk is a four sided monument with a pyramid shape to top, designed by the Ancient Egyptians. It symbolised the sun-god ‘Ra’ and embodies a petrified ray of the planet. Due to the Ancient Romans’ love of its shape, more than twice as many obelisks can be found in Rome, than in all of Egypt put together.
