A 20th century silver plated wine cooler, the central lid concealing an internal reservoir for ice, with four compartments for wine bottles and mounted with two carrying handles, the tapering square body mounted on a circular plinth.
Stamped ‘White Star’ & ‘SS Boston London’.
The White Star Line of Boston was an eminent British shipping company founded in 1845. Amongst their vessels was the ill-fated Titanic. This elegant wine cooler was made for the salons of the upper decks to add to an elegant ambiance and pleasurable dining experience of their patrons.
