An impressive large pair of red tole vases, the removable lids above faceted bodies with scrolling handles, each decorated throughout with gilded figures, houses and palm trees.
This pair of vases was most probably designed to be used as potpourri vessels. Their scale is magnificent and as such they would have been commissioned for a large and important house.
