A Pair of 19th Century Giltwood Mirrors in the Baroque Manner

A pair of 19th century carved gilded wall sconces in the Baroque taste, the scrolling fames with old mirror plates.

The foliate motifs upon the frames of these mirrors were favoured by late-Baroque cabinet makers. They have a sense of sense of drama through ornament and texture which is accentuated through the soft gilding.
