A late 19th century blue glazed vase of huge scale, the body decorated with gilded highlights of stylised flower heads, foliage and trees, of baluster form with generously shaped body.
Considering its scale, his vase is a remarkable feat of potting – it was thrown in two sections on a potter’s wheel and then set together prior to its initial firing in a kiln.
