A Pair of 19th Century Brass Dog Doorstops

£750

SOLD

A pair of brass doorstops in the form of seated hounds.

These wonderful sculptures of dogs offer a fantastic alternative to a more conventional doorstop. They are perfect for guarding a double door, but can also be split up and used in different parts of the house. The Victorians produced a remarkable array of door furniture and the Industrial Revolution meant that mundane objects such as a simple door stop could be produced in the most elaborate and unusual forms.

Price listed is for the pair.
