A Pair of Mid-20th Century Ormolu and Cut Glass Salts
£950
SOLD
A pair of mid-20th century novelty salt cellars, modelled in the form of baskets with rope-twist handles supporting finely cast and chased butterflies and retaining the original crystal glass liners.
This outstandingly beautiful pair of salt cellars adds fantasy and playfulness to any dining table. The delicate cutting of the crystal along with the twisted handles and butterflies are rather reminiscent of fin-de-siècle art in France.
